Simple to install. 4 pieces and screws. You need to remove the front roof covers and the 2nd row cover to gain access to the parts needed to be worked on. You have to remove two brackets and replace them with the brackets provided. Once all the pieces are together it's a good idea to make sure the roof lines up to the holes need to properly secure it. The holes may not line up properly so you will have to fiddle a little with the brackets. Once it's all lined up the tightened the look is awesome. It's best to do the job with 2 people. 1/2 hour to forty five minutes. It's also a good idea to use blue thread lock so the screws are tight. Easy install. 8mm ratchet and a torx to remove and tighten all the screws.

REVIEW REVISITED AFTER A MONTH: the Molle section that extends from crossbar to the front is NOT steel - not magnetic so I could not attach an overhead light to it. The other two parts are. I still think this is a great addition though. Additional, the diagram in. The listing is not correct - it has the Molle section and the front roof fastener as upside down in the image.

First I will open up and say the washers that come with this are really thin plastic ones. I replaced them with lock washers and thicker washers to avoid potential squeaks.

The installation was more complicated than it appears. It took me over two hours, but mainly because I have an OEM luggage rack that has to be partially removed so we can remove the roof panels. But the directions were good and they give you most of the bolts you need (I opted to keep the OEM bolts for the side anchors).

This is coated steel and it feels rough so it almost feels like Old Timey iron. It adds to the character. It is not as heavy as it looks and there are just five pieces to get together. It is very stable and rock solid once you torque everything. I hope the lock washers and the extra think washers I substituted cuts down squeaking but only time will tell.

There are a lot of these type devices for sale and this was one of the price tier ones but I think it is worth the money.

The overhead channel that extends from mirror to backseat has a raised edge to it, so you can add some shelf padding or magnets or stick-up lights.

Installation is a bit time-consuming, and the included instructions are minimal, but watching the video helps a lot, and it's pretty straightforward. The rack itself is very strong once bolted in. I like that they used a mix of aluminum and steel to manage weight while also ensuring rigidity for the cross brace. I was surprised to see plastic washers at first, but I think that was an intentional choice to provide for some ability to flex while also ensuring the metal doesn't fatigue and stress fracture over time and doesn't vibrate. I do wish they would have provided Nylock-style lock nuts instead of standard serrated nuts, but using a drop of thread lock on each bolt should provide the same benefit. The black textured finish looks and feels quite durable, and overall this makes a great add-on to get a little extra storage space, and it looks cool too.
