Has definitely helped with decreasing sound while driving. It was super easy to install as well, took maybe 2-3 minutes. Looks great when I open up my hood as well. The material doesn't feel cheap and has gone through several different weather conditions and done well.

The material is thick and good quality, effectively dampening engine noise as we hoped it would. Its thickness leads us to believe it will provide sufficient thermal insulation properties to prevent paint damage from excessive heat in the engine compartment. The fit is perfect, almost as if it is an OEM product.

Installation wasn't difficult, but it is helpful to have two people so that one can hold the insulation pad in place while the other attaches the hardware. The pad attaches using what essentially looks like push pins that are pressed into the existing holes. Two extra push pins are provided, which is good, since we dropped one into the abyss.

Considering the presumed thermal and experienced noise insulation factors, the ease of installation, and the finished look, this product provides, we find it to be an incredible value.

If you're tired of hearing every clatter from your engine bay, this is a worthwhile 5 minute weekend project. It's affordable, looks clean once installed, and offers both acoustic and thermal benefits.

So for the fact that it takes about 5 minutes to install this and you can do so with one person it is worth the purchase. In my very unscientific testing it does dampen engine noise for sure, especially during acceleration.

The mat is perfectly fit to the underside of the Bronco hood. It is made of fairly thick padding but the plug holes are beveled so it looks and feels like it was from the factory. The black material is firm, without being stiff, so it made installation easy. Lastly, it fits easily with plenty of included body plugs so, as you can see from my photos, the look of it compliments the overall engine area.

Excellent product - easy installation and looks great!

Thinner than I thought, but a 5 minute install. It does appear to be a bit quieter at start up, but I haven't noticed a big difference in road noise.
